Shelter Half is about community, collaboration, and commerce. We are dedicated to creating and supporting original products and experiences that enhance modern and sustainable lifestyles.
Shelter Half was named after two symbols of collective action:
The military issue canvas, given to every soldier since the civil war, that requires two people to team up in order to create a practical two-person tent.
The famous Tacoma coffee house conceived in 1968 to provide movie showings, affordable meals, and a place for civilians, veterans, and active duty soldiers to come together at a time of disillusionment.
